We can machine your primary clutch for more top end speed and lower RPMs at cruising speeds, From the factory the belt on the  KRX  primary clutch lacks about 1\2"  from traveling all the way to the top of the sheaves, this modification increases the axial travel of the belt and allows the belt to use all of the sheave making the primary go into full shift at a higher speed, this increases top speed and lowers cruising RPMs, the full shift of the primary clutch is moved from 45 to 60 mph.

There is absolutly no loss of low end power with our mod, as a matter of fact you will gain 11% gear reduction on the low end gearing at take off.

Fuel consumption is reduced due to the machines ability to run at a lower RPM.

With this "overdrive" modification we are able to run up to 40mph in low range.

In High range the gearing is there to get to 86-87 mph and the supercharged machines are getting there, stock machines are seeing 75-77 mph if they are not too heavy,  higher speeds are possible on a lighter or more powerful machine. (weight is horsepower)

New Heavy Duty Circlips, Lighter Clutch Spring, and Chromoly Pressure Plate Self Centering bolts are included with this service.

There is a flat return shippping charge of $45 which will include $1000 of insurance in case there is any damage in shipping, we package all return clutches very good to prevent any damage but you never know.

SAVE $250 on the Overdrive mod when you purchase a complete Primary Clutch Refurbishment

Titanium spacers and milling of the weight pockets can be added for $80

KRX Primary Overdrive Modification

  •  Utilizing our lighter primary spring along with this mod will lower your cruising RPMs and help reduce wear on the weights and rollers, there is no loss of performance with our spring.

Chromoly bolts that center the pressure place and stronger circlips for the weight pins are included in this service.

Because the KRX is not a high powered machine higher speeds  may not be possible, we are seeing 73 - 74 on a 2900 lb machine,  but the gearing is there to go faster, lower power or heavy machines will still benefit from this mod with lower RPMs and slightly lower gearing on takeoff but may not be able to acheive any faster top speed.
